Problems getting the BBCode module to interact with normal HTML

Hi,

I'm finding the BBCode module to be very good but it also seems to bring in some sort of issues for standard posting.

What happens is that if I don't strip HTML, all new lines are stripped so all posts become meaningless.

If I do strip HTML but I alter the default list of allowed tags in any way, the same thing happens.

However, if I strip HTML and leave the allowed list of tags alone, it works, but obviously I lose my HTML tags.

Very peculiar...
