Fresh install of Drupal 5 dev
Fresh install of CCK 5 dev

Created 2 fields, left "Maximum Length" requirement blank

When entering a new node, I get this error: "first name cannot be longer than characters but is currently 15 characters long."

I thought I fixed that a 2 or 3 days ago.
Are you sure you're using the latest 5--1.x-dev cck ?

Yes, I first ran into the problem a week ago but after installing the latest dev build (// $Id: content.module,v 1.90.2.17 2007/01/06 16:27:32 yched Exp $) and experiencing the same problem, I posted this issue.

Blah, I simply forgot one occurrence in my previous fix for this.
This is now fixed in latest 5-1.x-dev CVS.
