The project page mentions that this module will be ported at the end of 2010.
As that has already passed, can you give us an update on whether there has been any progress please?

mario_prkos commentedI hope this will be at the first half of this year. Recently I've been very busy so I didn't have time to work on it.
I will post progress soon as I had something. Any contribution is welcome.

bryan kennedy commentedIncreasing the priority on this one. I hope to be helping out with this effort. However, I think there are some things we need to do to clean up the D6 version before we work on the D7 one.
So if you wanna help, let's work on some of the outstanding D6 issues. This will make the D7 transition, lots smoother.

giorgio79 commentedLooks like this may become core
#1266336: Modernize Poll module
#61285: Remove poll module from core
Comment #9
marcvangendIf it's going into core, that will be in D8, so we still need a solution for D7.

I'm willing to offer code to make this happen.
This is what I strongly think a Poll solution should be, focused and use-case oriented. Core Poll (mostly) does this.
Wordpress' WP-Polls plugin is excellent, and we should draw a lot of inspiration from it.
Let me know how else I can help.

- ajax update from vote to results (in block) as Advanced Poll does in D6
we have done a couple projects now in D7 but still thinking it isn't really ready yet for prime time. some great new features in D7 but missing many many modules and many of those that are there are feature poor compared to D6 counterparts. No Poll module means next project will still be D6.. :(
client was pretty keen on using D7. i suggested due to no Poll module we stick with D6; but possibly they will be interested in funding some of the work required on this.

mario_prkos commentedHi, guys
Sorry for been long time since I did something on drupal. I was too busy.
Do you have already some code that we can put it in dev version for d7.
mario_prkos commentedI got first version check under releases. It is only in dev stage now.

darksnowI agree with #10
If this module can do those things it would be an perfect for for my needs, and much better than using core Poll.
I'm migrating a forum across from phpbb and it has polls as part of forum posts. Essentially, the poll is an optional field of the forum post. Seems to me that this module does exactly that.
Is there much more needed for a D7 port?
Thanks.

klonosThis issue here was about creating a port of the module for D7. AFAICT, we have a 7.x version available (actually two), so how about we close this and file separate issues for things that have been previously discussed/suggested here? It's not doing us any good keeping all these suggestions in a single issue and its hard to move on with implementing them.
