Hi,

It would be great if the author of the question could select multiple answers to be displayed right below the question. No one ever gives a complete answer :)

Sounds reasonable. While it's technically easy, some work on UI and code is needed.

One solution might be to allow for someone to create an answer "summary" - which is kind of an elegant solution if the goal is to ultimately arrive at a definitive answer for a given question. Nice user experience than having to sort through multiple answers IMO.

I suppose this could be achieved with some kind of node reference to a different content type if you didn't want to implement this as part of your module.

It's a good idea, of course it would be perfect, but I can't see who would want to write this summary. The author of the question just want an answer, and i'm not sure the answerers will like to do such a complex exercise... Plus answers sometimes reflect different states of mind which is hard to summarize in one text. But I'll definitely think this through.

But if selecting multiple answers is technically easy, I'd rather go for it. I would be happy to test any patch of course.

With a feature like #1689720: Add the ability to deselect a previously selected best answer coming, I don't think we still this need. Even sites like Stackover accepts only one answer (and it could not be changed). No activity for more than a year, I think I could close it.
