Up/down voting causes entire page to lock up for about 10 seconds.

I have had this experiance since lik 6.16 - 6.20

I have had this experiance with a non-pressflow and pressflow installations.

I am using pantheon and I can say my server is flying. But still when voting up / down it locks the whole page up and launches the chrom site crashed and I have to wait forever before the vote is registered and the page can scroll again. This is using varnish/memcache/apc, etc. And it was like this on a vanilla 6.2 setup to. i really wish this couldbe addressed. this is critical.

Let me know what details you need to trouble shoot this issue. I have had this on two different hosts.

5 star ratings are instantaneous. I have had this on both dev and non - dev versions. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the module to no avail.
