Despite the flippant tone of the title could we consider a change to the error message.
An upgrade to 6.x-2.10 has introduced a bug into radio buttons (I am still looking to see if this is listed and what patch to apply)
The message 'An illegal choice ... please contact the administrator' is both erroneous and offensive.
The choice was not illegal, there is a bug. Even if it were a choice they should not make the user has not committed a crime - they are not breaking any laws. Given that our users are dealing with children in an age that takes child protection very seriously this is not a great message to give them.
Could we not say - 'please make another choice' or 'we can't validate your choice, please report the problem to the administrator'

quicksketchThis error is thrown by Drupal core, not Webform. In any case, this error message has been taken over by Webform in 3.x and cleaned up to give a better message. 2.x is not supported any more, you should upgrade.

mylesorme commentedThanks for explanation - and for the warming to upgrade - I'd not realised that Drush doesn't upgrade 2 - 3 - and the drupal report doesn't list it as needing upgrade. All done now.
