I get an error when trying to configure my gallery module.

error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /my/site/path/gallery2/modules/rewrite/classes/RewriteApi

Gallery version 2.1
drupal version 4.7.4
gallery.module,v 1.17.2.2

Any clues?

the handbook page above will only work with 'cleanURLs' selected in dupral, if you can't use them, you will need to use apache based rewrites (go to gallery2, modules, URL reWrites, disable, uninstall, install, configure to change from PHP rewriting)

then see the fix posted in the forum as drupalgallery2embed site
