Update on porting:

The core shoutbox module has been ported. I am now working on porting the sub-modules.

I expect to branch and release an alpha on Friday. Hopefully, there will be people to test the alpha and provide feedback and bug reports so that we can move to a beta and production release soon.

Here is an update.

Organic groups was a complete rewrite for D7 and since I am not an OG user the shoutbox_og port is not going smoothly. I will finish the other modules and release the alpha without OG support. OG support will be done before the D7 release though.

Just created the first alpha release.

Please report bugs in a separate issue.

The release does not include shoutbox_groups and shoutbox_rules.

The plan is to add tests to ensure proper migration from 6.x to 7.x, in addition to restoring support organic groups and rules.

Is there any way to make shoutbox multilingual ? On english site user can see only english comments, on their language only comments in their language ?

Alpha version is working very nice ! however there is little problem with css (when u are logged as an admin there are differences in display, as when you are log out from site - inputbox is jumping etc.).

U need to download the gzip file un compress it, select rename and remove the extension .zip- then open in any text editor copy the text from that to make three files
1. info
2.install
3.Module
test it and give a feed back there, it has been living there because the maintainer doesnt know how to upload to the repository and test as contrib module
I have installed it and testing, if multiple users test it then i think there can be some progress in the development
