Tumbler had no documentation on this, but to get the "renderVideo()" JS call to function that will display the tumbler embeeded videos, you need to have their JS loaded on the page. See http://assets.tumblr.com/javascript/tumblelog.js

This adds the js on hook_init(). The JS is was beautified and put in tumblr.js
