Hello,
We are looking to add solr indexing to our drupal 7 website. I have looked at both the Apache Solr Search Integration module and the Search API module (by drunkenmonkey). If given the choice to use either one, which one makes more sense?

You are not alone with having to make that decision and having doubts. Peter discussed this very briefly in their solr drupalcon presentation (minute 16).

We have some facts, but I still feel I'm missing the big picture.
