I've just come up against a situation in which OG menus should not be deleted once created. So deleting the group node should not delete its menu. I wouldn't be surprised if others need this too so I've attached a patch to achieve this functionality. Apply the patch and then this can be activated from admin/og/og_menu with the 'Maintain OG Menu on node deletion' checkbox.

Would be grateful if anyone who has been looking for this feature can give it a test and review.

Do you have a 7.x-3.x version of this patch? I'm having a problem using it with workbench_moderation where creating a new unapproved revision deletes the menu.

Closing, since the Drupal 6 version of OG Menu is no longer supported. If this issue is still relevant for the currently supported versions (D7 and D8) then feel free to update the version and reopen the issue.
