12/24 hour indicator consitency

When setting the Global time setting under "Date and time" , this setting is the dominant format for when viewing the event date/time in normal event node view... however... Setting the "Time notation preference" under Events > Timezone handling effects the calendar date format.

Basically:
Time notation preference = ?q=event date formats (week/day/table/list)
Global "Date and time" setting = event node only

Request:
Can you make these consistent dependent on the Global date format selected. It does not appear to me to be a useful seperate setting under the events module.
