I just published a sandbox project "Referenced nodes in Views" (http://drupal.org/sandbox/itangalo/1083254). It allows you to use an argument validator to replace a nid with nids referenced frmo that node. (See project description for some more elaboration.)

Are you interested in having this as a part of the Argument Extras project?

I haven't done anything with the project for some months now, but I remember it quite well. I'd be happy to merge the code into Argument Extras!
