Hello,
i have some problmes with understanding strom / storm contrib and i think iam missing something and so i hop you can help me!
1. create organization "testorg" i want to assign projects, task, timetracking to
2. create person "testperson" with values for Costs per unit and assign to the "testorg"
3. create "testproject" with Budget Costs (500), Duration Budget(10), manager and assign to "testperson"
4. create "task1" and "task2" each one with 5 for the duration, assign to "testperson"
5. now, projectbalance says: Duration budget: 10.00 hours (i think like i set up in the project) / Still open durations: 10.00 hours (real time calculation) (i think the two tasks with 5 hour/task)
6. add 5 hour timetracking to "task1" and the result for the task1=
Entered task duration: 5.00 hour
Time taken: 5.00 hour (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:17 13:17:51)
Open durations + time taken: 5.00 hour (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:17 13:17:51)
7. Problem with calculation:
# To the timetracking Timetracking on "task1" the person testperson is assigned, but the calculation of the costs is not possible because for the person no costs are entered!
# To the timetracking Timetracking on "task1" no costs for the person testperson are entered, so the costs entered in the project should be used. But there are no costs entered in the project testproject!
8. Problem with projectbalance
Duration budget: 10.00 hours
Still open durations: 10.00 hours (real time calculation)
Time taken: 5.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46)
Billable time taken: 5.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46)
Open durations + billable time taken: 15.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46)
Open durations + time taken: 15.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46)
The Balance says that 15 hours but this is not correct. how i can set the tasks as finish if there is a timetracking assigned to. the balance says also that there are still open duration of 10 hours? how can i affect this value?

carsten müller commentedHi FuXXz,
5.:
Duration budget: 10.00 hours = set in project
Still open durations: 10.00 hours = 2 tasks with 5 hours duration assigned = 10 hours
6.:
Time taken: 5.00 hour = time from timetrackings assigned to the project (directly, by tasks or by tickets)
Open durations + time taken: 5.00 hour (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:17 13:17:51) = tracking time and still open durations on the project, should be 15 hours (2x 5hours from the tasks and 5 hours tracking time), but this value is not updated in real time, the date and the time after the value are the time when the value has last been updated
7. Problem with calculation:
The first message says that he wanted to calculate the costs of the timetracking. Therefore he checks the stormperson if costs are entered. If the system could not find costs, it checks the node where the ticket is assigned to if there are costs entered. If no costs are found it checks the node where the previous node was assigned to, ...
So if a timetracking is set for a ticket, the system first checks the person for costs, if no costs are found it checks the ticket for costs, if no costs are found and the ticket is assigned to a task it checks the task, if no costs are found it checks the project for costs
In this case the system could not found costs for the person altough you wrote that you set values. Please check your stormperson "testperson" and look up the values for the fields "Costs per time period:" -> "Costs unit:", "Costs per unit:" and "Price currency:"
IF something is missing add the value and try again
8. Problem with projectbalance:
Duration budget: 10.00 hours = correct - set in the project
Still open durations: 10.00 hours (real time calculation) = correct - 2 tasks with 5 hours duration
Time taken: 5.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46) = correct - 1 timetracking with 5 hours
Billable time taken: 5.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46) = correct if the billable duration in the timetracking is set to 5 hours
Open durations + billable time taken: 15.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46) = correct - 2 tasks with 5 hours and 1 timetracking with 5 hours
Open durations + time taken: 15.00 hours (Tuesday, 8. March 2011 - 13:19 13:19:46) = correct - 2 tasks with 5 hours and 1 timetracking with 5 hours
To set a task, tickt or project as solved you have to change the status of it. If you set the status of "task2" to completed, the task and it's duration are not considered in the calculation any more.

FuXXz commentedThank you for the detailed infos!
iam on the way to test again but storm ist blocking the task creation :)
See attachment, strom is a little bit confusing, but i want to like ist and reinstall Drupal with storm!

FuXXz commentedIts really confusing but i have reinstall the modules with devel and iam able to get rid ot he enddate error. It seems there are some strange problems. but it seems also that iam the only one who have it :)
below some imags for point 8)
i created project, task and 2 timetracking for the taskduration! but the open duration is always considering in the calculation :( also if i set everything to "completed

carsten müller commentedHi
is this issue still up to date?
I have tested it now and checked your screenshots.
Your project has a duration of 10 hours
Your task has a duration of 10 hours, so the system calculates a estimated duration of the project of 10 hours.
You have also tracked 10 hours (timetracking). The status of the task must still be open, so the system calculates that there is a open task of 10 hours and there are also already 10 hours tracked. 10 + 10 = 20 hours.
to solve this problem you have to set the status of the task to "closed". Then the system recognises that the task is finished and it will not be considered any more for the project. Then only the timetrackings are considered. Then it calculates: duration of project = 10 hours, timetrackings = 10 hours => 100% progress
