Past versions of Managing News allowed a user to save news items to a channel by clicking a yellow star below the share button. The interface looked sort of like this.

Has this feature been removed from Managing News? I don't see it in 1.2, but I also can't find any documentation about it being removed.

Also, for whatever it's worth, the website still lists this as a feature.

Does the "Share" work for you? It does nothing on my new installation.

Sharing posts does work here, at least with Facebook. What happens when you click the green "share" button, or does that not even appear?

edit: I do have one idea. Did you set a table prefix when you installed Managing News? That seems to cause issues, and would be my first guess as to the cause of your issue.

The yellow star doesn't appear on MN's(1.1/1.2) aegir (1.1) installation too. Aegir doesn't support table prefixing.

Seems its code has been removed with some reason. I've got the get this feature back by following this post.
