I've just tried to renew my organisation membership but when I click through to paypal from the a.d.o site I get the following error:

"This recipient is currently unable to receive money.

Return to Drupal association

At this time, we are unable to process your request. Please return to Drupal association and try another option."

Hopefully you guys already know about this problem and are in the process of fixing it.

PayPal asks us to confirm various information, like non-profit status, relatively often. Jacob is working with them to get the documents they want. There is a good chance we will be switching to another payment processor soon.

Thanks Neil, will keep an eye out. I've never been a fan of Paypal. If it's any help I have a family member who works for a UK based payment processor (Secure Trading - http://www.securetrading.com). Could they help?

We already used a different one for DrupalCon Copenhagen, so finding those accounts, making sure they work, and using it.

We switched to a new PayPal account, to hopefully avoid issues for a bit longer. We are still looking into switching, but require something that works in EUR, probably based in Benelux or Belgium, and works with CiviCRM. Secure Trading doesn't fit these requirements.

I can confirm this just worked for me, had the same problem the other day but just updated my membership now and it worked fine (I am in the EU btw if it makes any difference).

Great, and the IPN stuff even worked out of the box, getting the badge on your profile page.

Status: Active » Closed (cannot reproduce)

I think this is not an issue a this time.
