I was just trying to review the modules available for 4.7.x, and when I visit the modules area, it appears that you can only view Drupal 5.x versions of the modules. Changing the dropdown list option to 4.7.x or 4.6.x doesn't appear to do anything anymore.

Is this something that can be corrected?

are you clicking the go button after changing the drop down ?

I just sorted them perfectly fine. The default view upon visiting the screen is 4.7 modules.

Also, right now that dropdown requires that cookies are enabled for it to work. If that doesn't fix it, what browser are you using?

You are right, there seems to be a bug for anonymous users.

When I log in the module lists are updated. When I log out I always see the 4.7 modules.

Yep, for anonymous users the pages will be cached. It needs to be updated to use tabs. This might already be in the issue queue for project.

this was originally reported (long ago, this has nothing to do with the upgrade to 5.0-RC) here:

http://drupal.org/node/86806

i thought i got it working during the D5 port, but the lack of people testing things on scratch.drupal.org meant that we only saw it working for logged in (authenticated) users, not the failure case for anonymous visitors. in fact, it *does* work now once you log in, which is already an improvement. ;)

that said, webchick, killes and i discussed a solution that will work for anonymous users, too (where the fact that drupal.org pages are cached is what's causing the grief):

http://drupal.org/node/107813

so, if you want to help, please keep an eye on that issue, help review the changes, help test them once they're installed on scratch.drupal.org (it'll be listed there when it's ready for testing), etc.

automatically yours,
-derek
