Image filter is left at default G2 setting, but inserting [G2:imageNumber] in body of node--or in this case, a blog post--has no effect. The [G2:imageNumber] just gets returned to the user as is with no processing.

After installing Gallery2, the Gallery link in the left menu shows up, and the gallery displays just fine, so some level of basic functionality is making it OK.
Note that if this is because I do not have some-and-such module installed, then this may become a user interface or documentation bug because I did not see this clearly stated in readme or in the user interface.
