Hi, I want the users of my site to post articles about places in cities. I need fields like the country, city, address, comments, etc...

Is it correct if I create a vocabulary for the countries with all the countries as terms and another for the cities? Or is there a module that can do this?

You can create vocabulary with hierarchy: Place: country->city. If there is ready module, I don't know, but this is good solution, in my opinion.
