Just wanted to put in a voice of support for this module, it is PERFECT for what I am doing right now, and couldn't be more well timed! Is there any sort of e.t.a. for an initial release?

Sadly, the project has kind of stalled a bit. I'm also very seriously considering only developing it for D7, as a large portion of this seems best suited to entities.

I hope to get rolling on it again soon, but my available time is pretty limited at the moment.

I haven't had any time to work on this, unfortunately..

There is some code checked into the git repo, but it's nowhere near finished, and a completely different way than I'd like to ultimately build the module.

I really do need to find the time to work on this though, I'll keep you posted.
