Panels for D7 is pretty far along. I might be upgrading socialistworker.org to D7 in the near future, and this is one of the few dependencies that isn't ported to D7 yet. Should be quite trivial. I'll assign this to myself if I start working on it. If anyone else wants to do so in the meantime, please do. ;)

I just changed the version number in the module's .info file from 6.x to 7.x and it seems to work. Header displays, and turns into a link (external URL if it's absolute and internal if it's relative).
