Drupal Administration Menu module provides similar functionnality.
It would be great if those two projects could merge. It is always frustrating when two modules more or less duplicate functionnalities and you have to choose...

@m3verick: I agree with yched and tried to come up with some proposals. I did not have a look at the code of SimpleMenu yet. Is it possible for you to outline your ideas and outlook regarding SimpleMenu in the above mentioned issue?

I'd like to propose to set this issue here to postponed then.
