I am unable to create a diff on my windows machine atm, but think it is fairly easy to add without one.
In the file geocoding/google.inc , this should be added to the countryfixes array in the "google_geocode_country_list" function to recognize them as being supported:
"nl" => "Netherlands",
"be" => "Belgium",

rooby commentedThe reason for the country fixes code is that the list of supported countries from google is country names so we have to match our country list against that list by country name.
The country fixes list are for countries where our country name is different to googles and we have to amend our list to match googles.
This is not required for Netherlands or Belgium as they already match.

rdlang commentedWhen i do not add those lines, it does not list google as supported for the netherlands and belgium in the "geocoding options" list, why?
Comment #3
rdlang commentedwhen i do not manually add them, at those country's it says: "None supported." but it does show "Configure parameters"

rdlang commentedplease review my previous 2 comments and let me know how you think

rdlang commentedOne more note:
I removed the manual country mappings and the proximity search still seems to work. the same goes for "Author Location" gmap.
Not sure though why "None supported" is listed after the 2 country's as it should list "google maps" as an option (i think).
Am i missing something here? What is (or should not) be working when it does not list "Google maps" as an option?
