It's time I migrate my old forums running on my Windows server to my Drupal platforms and end the dicotomy among my communities and sites.
The forums run on Snitz Forum http://forum.snitz.com and the data is on an Access database.
It's actually 5 forums, but they are running the same code with separate Access databases. Two of the databases are over 100Mb, while the other three are less than 50Mb. See an example at http://www.civila.com/comun/foros
The job is:
1. to convert the Snitz forums Access database to a Drupal MySQL database, in other words: populate the Drupal database with the user, forums, posts and comments from the Snitz database.
2. to replace content in the old Snitz database with a link in each message to the corresponding message in the new Drupal site.
As an alternative, the migration can be done to phpBB and then integrate phpBB with Drupal. This process has been done before and documented on-line by several people and was my first option. Either alternative is good for me.
US$500 is my initial offer.

Offer
I can get the job done quickly for $500, but I'd like to know the format of the posts. Are they using BBCode or HTML? Also, are you using threaded topics?
Please visit company's website at FourKitchens.com for my office phone number and other contact information.
I've personally developed and managed the following sites within the past month:
The actual forums
Actual forums are
http://www.civila.com/comun/foros
http://www.bibliotecasvirtuales.com/comun/foros
http://www.reddominicana.com/comun/foros
http://www.educar.org/comun/foros
http://www.redcubana.com/comun/foros
The database is MS SQL and we can skip all the stuff that's not critical, which I added recently (topic ratings, private messages, etc.). It's basically Forum Categories (Taxonomy in Drupal), topics and replies, and user registration info (name, bio, links, etc.)
We would be moving it to a dedicated MySQL server (I just set it up in the same server I have MS SQL running).
The app would be running in Drupal 5, preferably an existing Drupal installation I have at http://www.ciudadesvirtuales.com -- multi-site installation.

Upgraded to MS SQL
I have now upgraded the database tables to my dedicated MS SQL server.
This should make it easier...

Holà Carlos,
have you received some news for your process?
Conversion to Drupal from Snitz was performed?
Are you now using a Drupal forum whit past data?
I have the same problem now.. so can you help me?
Thanks,
Riccardo
I successfully migrated Snitz to phpbb an then to Drupal
I used Snitz Forums to PHPNuke 7.6 (and other) Conversion - PHPBB 2.0.21 (and other) available at:
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=460820
and then I used the phpbb2drupal module.
Migration was done without any problem or complication. I was able to migrate users, categories, forums, topics and replies and even have the bbcode translated and ported to my liking.

Forum conversion
Has the converison to drupal been completed?
Thanks
.
Sure looks like it if you read the comment above yours. 1.5 years after the request was posted, I'd sure hope it was done by now... LOL

Fully migrated
I created a subdomain for each domain and installed drupal and migrated the forum to each subdomain.
I still have to come up with a theme for each site and do some dropdown menus that facilitate navigating from one site to another.
But yep, those down there used to be Snitz forums and are now Drupal sites :p (along with 17 other migrations I did, but I don't want to be called a spammer, so I'll only list 4)
