Sweeping changes from 1.x to 2.x, but migration should be painless as update 7201 will move existing settings to the new format required for 7.x-2.0.

Some of the most notable differences from 1.x to 2.0:

Fixed #1817598: database update stuck, which was blocking the update script from functioning properly.

Updated hook_update_6101 to set the variable appropriately when updating.

Added configurable share label setting in admin settings form. This is a backport from the 7.x branch that had not been done previously.

#1119058: Should support URL shortening by willvincent - When the 'shorten' module is installed and enabled, the configured default URL shortener service will be used. Additionally, titles will be truncated if necessary when sharing to twitter so that url and title will fit within 140char limit.

#1108016: Provide links as a block by danlinn, backported by willvincent: Adds an admin setting to make a block available; show links in block, and handle content types without a body field.
