Hi johnvsc,

I believe the process for adding co-maintainers changed with the recent move to Git. You should be able to add cmjns as a co-maintainer directly and no longer require approval for this. Please try that at:

http://drupal.org/node/951562/maintainers

I'm seeing this to fixed for now. If that process doesn't work, just change the status back.
