The RealName module <= 1.3 had a feature called "user level" to display user badges near the themed username. This way it was easy to have the user badges displayed in the "Who's online" block, nodes, comments and other places at once, without dealing with PHP code. This feature has been removed from 1.4.

Would you thus consider implementing a similar feature into this module? Maybe just allowing a checkbox setting to enable it?

It wasn't supposed to be gone yet. But, yes, it is my intent that UB replace that feature.
