I've tried to install TinyMCE as an editor, but it doesn't work, it simply doesn't show up.
When I install nicEdit, it works, but all the html codes appear on the published text. Somebody knows what's wrong? Is it Marinelli's fault?

Yes, WYSIWYG is installed!
But I think it's all good now... the only way I could make it work was enabling editor only to Filtered HTML, writing the text as Filtered HTML, and saving it as Full HTML, or the html codes still would appear...
It's a mess, but it's working! :)

Hi,
Same problem here with WYSIWYG + TinyMCE (or ckEditor).
It works with openWYSIWYG, jWYSIWYG and nicEdit.

Any solution for making it work with TinyMCE?

I use WYSIWYG + TinyMCE. I have had no problems. I found the configuration process a little confusing. Have you configured the toolbar buttons? If not, no buttons will be visible.

Yep, I did.
The problem is that it doesn't load at all for some reason ... I basically see the background image of the theme in the rectangle where the editor should be.

What browser are you using?

It sounds like you need to change the css setting for each WYSIWYG filter to "editor default css."

Tks MochaMan... I've been trying to make it work until I found your message...

In fact if you don't enable any buttons the frame appears empty...
Well, since one normally expect to see something when installing a new module, first thought is that there might be some problem and the module didn't load correctly, when in fact it did... but since I (ooops) didn't include any buttons: it appears empty...

Might remain as a suggestion to the developers though, that at least a few buttons come enabled by default and the user changes them as he wants... at least one knows the module works at first sight...

But except for that congrats and tks to anyone working on this project!

That's odd. Always in the past when I've used Wysiwyg and add an editor it uses the editor's default button set.

Same issue, even last dev version of wysiwyg didn't work. So it can be marinelli issue.

It sounds like you need to change the css setting for each WYSIWYG filter to "editor default css."

Didn't work.

I'm using:

  • CKEditor 3.6.4.7575
  • Wysiwyg 7.x-2.2+5-dev
  • Marinelli 7.x-3.0-beta11

Edit:

  • I installed CKEditor 3.6.5 - did'nt work
  • I another wysiwyg editor - nicedit - did'nt work
  • I switched off wysiwyg module and installed bueditor and everything works with this light weight module.
