Any idea if/when there will be a D7 port of this module, seems by all extents to be the ONLY module which does what I need without adding half of drupal's module repository to my site >_<. I'm not remotely technical so I'd personally have NO idea where to start.

To be perfectly honest, I dont think I'll be porting this module to Drupal 7, since there are other, more flexibles out there that do the same thing (e.g. views_slideshow). If there is a Drupal 7 port of this, I think it'll more likely be a feature which pulls together modules like views_slideshow to accomplish the same thing.
