this project looks very promising (and colossal from a developers standpoint)
i would love to see this module suite take off, is there anyone still working on this? has it been abandoned?
id love to spend some time working on it.

Looking at the code and the fact that it started in summer 2008 it must have been abandoned. May be it should become a SoC 2012 project? Don't know if reinstating is done.

Perhaps forking something like lemon8 could give this project the boot up the bum it seems to need?

Agreed! This module looks insanely amazing but unless my eyes deceive me, there haven't been any releases uploaded since the alpha version in 2009 and the only parser currently available is jpg. It says it's actively maintained? Has the D6 version been abandoned?

That's what i see too.

and i would conclude that this entire project has been abandoned on the fact that the maintainer hasn't posted on this ticket.
