Currently when I log in, I'm taken to my profile page. This means I need to refund an issue in the scenario that I was logging in to add a comment to a group. I know I often give up at this point and I know others do to (ad hoc research).

Can we pls make it so that when I log in I'm kept on the page from which I logged on. This will hopefully reduce abandonment and increase participation especially from people who are less familiar with Drupal.

Yes, excellent point.

This is a duplicate of #838020: Redirect back to the slave site's destination which is mostly fixed and will work if each subsite updates it's codebase.

It doesn't handle urlencoding yet, though, which is why 838020 is still open.
