I am working on a site for a science/astronomy club, and as a service club members have the option to show weather for their preferred locations in the left sidebar. This way they can quickly see whether viewing conditions are right for one of their locations, and either head out or stay in bed.

Although you can already disable a lot of information with the current UI, the my weather block still uses a lot of vertical space when the user selects more than one location. It would be great if the list of data to show could be extended with the following items:

  • the icon;
  • the general condition;
  • the date of the report;
  • a more link.

The last item would take the user to the full report (as configured by the administrator of the site), e.g.: weather/EHKD. It should only be shown if the user has been granted permission to access the weather pages.
