Music Dealers Position Description: Mid-Level Developer
Music Dealers is a global web-based music licensing company that connects independent artists and music producers to commercial clients and brands. With headquarters in Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles and London, our staff includes music licensing and publishing veterans with 50+ years of combined experience, qualified and musically literate in-house cataloging experts, and a dedicated team of A&R reps.
The Mid-Level Developer at Music Dealers has several duties that include but may not be limited to:
Development Duties:
- Create or edit custom Drupal modules for musicdealers.com
- Develop new interactive user interfaces with jQuery, XHTML, and CSS
- Optimize HTML email newsletters for compatibility across major mail clients
- Develop system and code documentation
- Participate in discussions on optimizing resources including efforts to streamline workflow for users
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Drupal development, including the creation of custom modules, usage of the Views 2 and Form APIs.
- Experience with PHP OOP development
- B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS plus familiarity with jQuery
- Knowledge of relational database concepts
- Experience developing with MVC principles
- Versioning system experience such as CVS, SVN, or git
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with a team
- Desire to stretch past experience and current solution sets to solve new problems
