Doesn't look like they currently have an API, so contacting them will be first step.

Is there still any consderation of adding a Webink submodule?

sreynen’s picture

Yes, if Webink is interested, we're interested. Looks like no one has contacted Webink yet to ask them about providing the necessary public API for @font-your-face to use. Feel free to contact them and ask about that. And I'm happy to talk to them about technical details if that's helpful.

Sent them an email asking about the public API; will let you know if/when/what I hear back from them. Thanks sryenen

@sryenen -- they're working on a new API, have an older API, but seem interested -- this is the reply I received from Webink:

"There is an API we are currently working on. We have an older API that only allows for viewing the library of font data but not the fonts themselves. Is the project something that you are involved with? I would be happy to help get our fonts into this interface."

Am happy to help in any way I can but am by no means super familiar with module coding.

Hey dolly nyc,

That's great to hear they're interested. Thanks for contacting them. I guess I should probably talk to them about technical details now. Would you mind sending me the contact info of whoever you've been talking to via my drupal.org contact form?

sreynen’s picture

I've contacted Webink and offered to help however I can with defining API requirements. I'll post updates here as I hear more.

Still haven't heard back from Webink. Moving this back to postponed until I do.

dolly nyc’s picture

@sreynen -- have you still not heard anything from them?

I did hear back, but then I dropped the ball in responding.

Any updates on the Webink submodule? Anything I can do to help?

Drave Robber’s picture

There is a WordPress plugin for WebINK, written by WebINK themselves. In absence of another/better API specification, it can probably used as an example of the right way to do things. If only I understood WordPress code. :(

This includes basic functionality for playing with WebINK.

Please make sure to check README.txt, especially 'Roadmap' section of it.
