What about linking to non-video interesting stuff

Like, say, twitter status's?

I was thinking about this while looking at the Storify site... their demo pages includes embedded twitter & twitpic & youtube objects that are useful. The twitpic object pull in a thumbnail of the image, the twitter objects let you retweet or other operations, and the youtube object lets you play the video.

In other words there could be a generalized module which looks for links to known social media services, and create a useful object whose behavior makes sense for each service.
