troky commentedCheck admin/people/permissions "Forum topic: Create new content " is checked for authenticated users.
I don't see any problem here with non-admin authenticated user...

RoiDanton commentedAs I said, the users have the right to post when they go through the “create new content” menu. They are only missing the link in the forum. I have deactivated the advanced forum module and the links are back. So this is definitely no permission problem.

troky commentedI need someone else to confirm this error since I can't reproduce it. Maybe some other 3rd party module messing with links?
RoiDanton commentedYes maybe. The problem with all the drupal 7 modules is that most of them are not final so there could be happening some strange things.
I will try to find out if I can bring back the link by deactivating other modules. If it don't come back I will setup a new site and install all my modules again to see where is gets broken.

absoludo commentedI had the exact same problem. Only the administrator sae the topics.
Clearing my caches fixed it, but I do not know if that sollution is permanent for all users or that I have to repeat this.

marek.d commentedI hope this is related.
I am just using the core forum module, but have the same issue. The Post New Forum Topic link is missing. Permissions under Content and Forum topics are checked in.
