I've been messing with the blogger module on and off for a couple of days trying to get it to work. I have not yet been successful with that. In looking at blogger itself and at the handbooks for module creation, it has come to me that the module is not actually a 5.x module. If nothing else, it does not come with a .info file as required by the Drupal module guidelines.

Please do not get me wrong. I am not trying to give anybody a hard time. But if it doesn't work with 5.x, it doesn't work with 5.x. It may be that the version compatibility was set to Drupal 5.x in error. One sort of makes the assumption that if you search for modules that have been upgraded to work with 5.x, what you will get is a list of modules that work with 5.x. Rather than confuse a lot of people, would it be possible to change the version compatibility flag on this module back to 4.whatever?

Thanks

Michael

I have tried without success to get the Blogger Module to work with Drupal 5.0. The folder doesn't contain an info file. I created an info file and it still didn't work. The module is listed as "blogger 5.x-1.x-dev" and the version I downloaded is "blogger-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz".

Previously, I had the blogger module installed with Drupal 4.7 and it worked fine. It was quite useful and is definitely a refinement over the built in blog listing.

Anyone else had the same experience?

probably better to file and issue (rather then a forum topic) against this specific project to inform the developer that he/she may have committed an incorrect version to Drupal 5.

checking out the HEAD version, may be the answer in this case.

The HEAD version of Blogger Module works in Drupal 5.0. Thanks!

Where do I get the HEAD version. I moved the folder to the sites/all/modules directory but in Administer--> Modules, it doesn't show up.

I even ran update.php
