Because Google Website Optimizer is driven from the client all variants have unique URLs. If a user bookmarks a variant URL how are people dealing with redirecting this user at the end of the experiment?

You could use the Path Redirect module to redirect your alternative URLs to the main URL when the experiment has finished.

Thanks - any thoughts about how this could work with an A/B/N test for a node layout?
For example if you had Panel variants or templates files for each variant for how a node type is displayed you might end up with a large number of URL's like:
product/[product-name]
product/[product-name]-b
product/[product-name]-c
