I've been using etherpad so decided to try looking at this. I started with upgrading the module to D7 - which I've done here https://github.com/mgifford/drupal-etherpad

That piece seems to be not throwing horrible errors, but I hadn't actually gotten etherpad set up on the server. I'm still using Lenny, so this may be part of the issue. Anyways, wanted to help push this idea ahead. It would be great to be able to have http://ietherpad.com type of functionality within Drupal 7.

Note, I mostly just forked the other version on github & then ran it through coder.

Strange, it won't let me activate it. I check it off and hit save but it still says 'disabled'.

I'm retarded when it comes to php/module development but I have a zippy Voxel server with Etherpad up and running; with the magic of sites.php I can whip up a test site for you guys in about 5 minutes, just say the word. This is far too cool to be languishing down here.

I don't have the time to take this on now, but hoping to test it out move in the coming months.

I posted the following blog post - http://openconcept.ca/blog/mgifford/challenge-collaborative-editing-gove... - to try to raise awareness about this too. Found out that the Government of Canada already has an EtherPad server set up internally.

I'll be back in touch with you both if I can help push this module further. It would be a really cool interface for Drupal!
