Take a look at the download page. It is one of the top 10 most popular pages on drupal.org, yet some project descriptions carry redundant information, some fail to explain what the module is about, and quite a few of them, use explicit linebreaks or could do with some markup. That is, the project descriptions need maintenance. The project page is quite lengthy, so keep them brief.

This is a task for the individual contributors. Bug reports shoul dbe filed against modules with bad descriptions.
