I believe that with the change from cvs to git the $Id$ in files is no longer required, but there is still a suggestion to include it.

This is fixed in the 7.x branch, I'm not sure if it is fixed in the 6.x branch, but we are no longer making changes to 6.x, see #1745068: Coder Review Drupal 8.x Battleplan.
