There are several administrators and about 600 users on one of my sites. I like the lm_paypal module over the pay-per-node module on this site because it allows users to create the node first and pay at the end - it's just more immediate which is useful in this case.

However, the administrators need to be able to create as many of the subscribed nodes as they want to and, as admins are not required to pay for the ability.

It would be great therefore if there was an additional access right that allowed a certain role to "override" the node subscriptions. Is this possible?

I second this one.

If a user pays for a role upgrade I'd like them benefit by having certain node type subscriptions free.

neubreed,

This might not help your particular case, but I've decided to use both pay-per-node and lm_paypal. I'm using lm_paypal to promote to certain roles and pay-per-node to decide who can create as many of a particular type of node as they like.

Because we've only recently changed the membership structure, I was able to use pay-per-node to bulk update and award a bunch of users (based on role) the right to create a limited number of certain types of nodes.

This doesn't help with regards to "if a user pays for a role upgrade I'd like them benefit by having certain node type subscriptions free" and I do want to achieve something similar, but have settled for doing this manually at the moment. I would consider hacking at pay-per-node to achieve this automatically if I had someone more experienced at coding to help me, so if you're interested, drop me a line.
