If you have OpenX hosted locally and it's not the latest version you are open for malicious software attacks. If you have upgraded to 2.8.7 your cache, image folder and database might still have the malicious code intact.

Open your database and look to make sure that all the users are real. Also make sure that the append column in the banner table does not have a ton of javascript code in it.

Something to also consider is protecting the OpenX admin directory with .htaccess. This was mentioned on the link page. I like the idea of another hoop an attacker would need to go through before getting to our OpenX install.
