Go to Administer >> Site configuration >> Languages >> Icons >> then uncheck "Language switcher block".

Fixed in release 6.x-1.5

Module now forces to disable the when JS widget is enabled "Language switcher block" option populated by Language icons module.

Impossible to uncheck this option in drupal 7..

These options are currently disabled due to a bug that cannot currently be resolved. They may be reintroduced at a later stage.

Any idea how to get rid of the two flags then?

You can use this "fix" for languageicons to get around the problem.
Works fine for me.

thanks @CodeInject, that patch worked for me on D7.9 and version 7.x-1.0-beta1 of languageicons too.

This is crazy but you can try:go to languages > icons and set the size of icons 0 x 0. This is soo wrong, but it works ;)
