no file attachments

Not sure if this is a bug (i suspect not or someone would have posted by now).. or possibly an issue with my host server (although i have tried on a couple servers now), but..

i do not seem to be able to send file attachements with mail

anyone seen this? know the cure?

the node that is created does have the file attached
