Hi,
when dealing with timezones, I'd like to have the ability to "convert" the time difference, like the 'Currency' modules allows for currencies. Example: Enter a source timezone or location in one field, and the destination timezone or location in a second field; the 'Wold Clock' module should output the time difference between these two timezones in plain text.
I believe this functionality would be pretty similar to the current admin page (./admin/settings/worldclock), but simply expose the "source" and "destination" fields to the end user. Probably it'd be simply a second block which would allow the users to determine the time zones for randomly chosen locations.
Also I'd like to know if it'd be possible to add some "intelligence" to the module. As it currently works, the time displays are pretty static; if I understand it correctly, it is - for example - not possible to use embedded location data from a node to dynamically identify the source/destination time zone.
An example for this would be the combination of the 'Node Map' (adds georeferential data to a node and shows it's location on a map) and the 'Whether' modules; the 'Whether' modules reads the geo point data from the node and displays the current whether conditions at the location of the node. It'd be quite nice if 'World Clock' would be able to display the current time for the node.
Thanks & greetings, -asb
