Now there may be a good reason why this wasn't done, but...

Why not merge with this module
http://drupal.org/project/print

Lets try and reduce the number of very similar modules, where possible.
It makes it easier for new users to know which to choose, and helps pool resources.

I'd prefer to see a port of print.module than a whole new one.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by a 'port'.
A complete replacement?

Agreed. I posted an issue on print.module, http://drupal.org/node/109192, and also contacted the module maintainer but didn't get a response. If a response comes through later, we can certainly look at merging or integrating.

I would also like to see a new version of the Print Module for Drupal 5.0.
Hopefully I can get my hands on it soon so I can complete a project for a client...
The maintainer hasn't responded? Let's track him down! :)

Hi,

I am the Print Module's maintainer.. I would indeed prefer that this module and Print merge.. However, note that Print does a couple of things to the page's URLs that must be maintained in order to print the list of URLs at the end. Other than that, if we can get Print to behave as well or better than Printable in what it does, I see no reason to maintain two modules that essentially do the same..

Please contact me if you are still interested in merging.

Done.

Thanks for the support!

This issue’s project has disappeared. Most likely, it was a sandbox project, which can be deleted by its maintainer. See the Lost & found issues project page for more details. (The missing project ID was 111526)
