[track] Status of Vinculum module (pingback + trackback) Is this module still being developed?

The latest commit is in reasonable shape - I've been working on adding test-coverage. The API, pingback, trackback, and linkback-comment modules are close to stable, and I'm working on the actions/rules integration modules.

@manarth, curious to know what shape you think this is in now. I'm sort of desperate and am considering testing in lightly trafficked production site.

The code's in pretty good shape...I'm developing new functionality to manually enter a Trackback URL to send trackbacks (because it turns out most websites don't properly support the Trackback auto-discovery protocol) but otherwise it's feature-complete for a release-candidate.

Unfortunately the namespace 'linkback' is already taken by another developer (http://drupal.org/project/linkback), so I'll need to rename the module (including all the function names and the table names). I'll try to fix the module name this weekend - once that's done, I think it's ready to promote to a full and roll an alpha release.

Thanks manarth. I've put it out there for use on a site launched yesterday, and will report back on how the module does. Thanks for your work on this!

Given that the code is already in good state, is it ready for an alpha or beta release? Maybe published on the project page?

A couple of things - primarily, is this module still under development? I think it's terrific that Manarth is doing this and I appreciate that it's a lot of work (although I will say it strikes me as bloody strange that something that seems as key as linkbacks and pingbacks aren't already available for D7). Secondly, could someone explain to a n00b how to install the module from where it is at the moment?

Is this module under active development? I've installed the dev version but i can't understand how to work with it..
