I have been unsuccessful using taxonomy node.

I have created taxonomy terms in a vocabulary. I have then tried individually as well as batch creating the nodes from a vocabulary to create the nodes. Each time the nodes are created with no value for the vocabulary - it is greyed out on the node with the value "Please choose".

These nodes are created by selecting a content type for the node in the vocabulary page under taxonomy node settings. I have tried with Map Node Operations checked and unchecked but this has no effect. Under settings on the vocabulary page I have tags and multiple select unchecked but required checked.

I am using Drupal 6. I have tried the latest beta release as well as the development release but they both do the same thing.

I have since patched taxonomynode_node-tagged_by_both_terms-600878-15.patch which is on the page: http://drupal.org/node/600878 and although the vocabulary page now allows choosing term and parent term to be tagged neither of these causes the desired result.
