New Donat Group Site: Opportunity Alert
We wanted to share a sneak peek of new business partnering site, opportunity alert, sponsored by our client New Media BC that we are developing in Drupal. The goal of the site is to facilitate partnership opportunities between new media companies. A colleague called it a dating site for companies, which I think is very appropriate. It's not a typical social network; extended dialog among users is expected to completed off-line rather than via the service. The site is primarily meant to facilitate introductions for companies actively looking for partnerships. So, site functionality is focused on making targeted partnership opportunities for the members.
It will eventually become a moderated network when completed and launched, but we wanted to share it with the Drupal community before that happens. It's one of our favourite projects. There is some really interesting notification functionality. We would appreciate any feedback - good or bad.
Thanks,
David

awesome, but bogus data!
If you eliminate the fact that all the events section are filled with bogus data 'Test Post 2', etc, the site looks pretty slick.
The look and feel is very consistent. So much though, that it is hard to even notice that it is drupal anymore (I always get lazy around certain parts of a drupal install, like comments, etc).
One piece of advice:
http://nmbc.jammicron.com/node/add/event
when you are not logged in gives a really crappy error and a page that is hard to determine what went wrong. Fix that up and you've got a wicked site dave :)
